The Peru Partnership Mission is the ongoing global mission effort of Crossroads Fellowship in Cadiz, Kentucky.
Crossroads is a Southern Baptist Congregation, and has entered into a four-year partnership through REAP North Peru, a mobilization team of the Southern Baptist Convention’s International Mission Board.
Crossroads has adopted the Panao Quechua people, a group of native South Americans who live in a rather remote area of the Andes Mountains. There are approximately 60,000 people in this unique language group, and very limited number of churches. The people are approximately 2-4% evangelized.
The goals of this partnership are simple:
- Mobilize 3-4 volunteer teams per year to minister in the Pachitea / Panao area.
- Serve as ambassadors of Jesus Christ and Crossroads Fellowship.
- Develop lasting relationships.
- Share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
- Train leaders and potential church planters.
- Help facilitate an indigenous church planting movement.
Team volunteers invest $1000 out-of-pocket toward the approximate $1,700 expense for the trip. The people of Crossroads supplement the remaining costs through their budget offerings, special offerings, and church-wide fundraisers.
